Sacred Ground Sticky Floors: Beachy Rum Punch Cocktail
Yield 4-6
This is my favorite cocktail. The first time I tried it I was at a grass hut bar on a beach in Venezuela. We had been snorkeling all day and were starving and thirsty. I have to say it is one of my all-time favorite food memories. The (roll your r) Rooooooom pooooonch was perfectly cold. The pineapple on the glass was a vibrant yellow, harvested locally. A perfect compliment to the fresh grilled fish, buttery arepas, and sweet and salty coleslaw. Oh my stars.
Ingredients
5 ounces Red Rum
1 cup Cranberry Juice
5 ounces Coconut or Mango Rum
1 cup Orange Juice and 1 cup Pineapple Juice
Ice
Pineapple and Marchino Cherries for Garnish
Instructions
In a 2 quart picture add alcohol and juices. Stir. Add ice to glasses and pour drink over the ice. Garnish. Sit back and watch the sun go down…
Notes
You can use any rum you’d like and any fruity flavor of rum. This is just the closest I have ever come to make the taste like the ones on the beaches of South America! Drink responsibly!!
