Sacred Ground Sticky Floors Recipe Buttermilk Pancakes

Pancake Love!  Oh my goodness, these are our favorite pancakes in the history of pancakes!  Little known fact, I prefer my pancake with butter and sugar, not syrup.  This became a thing when I was a kid.

 Syrup made my stomach hurt.

Dare I say, I thought it was too sweet. Butter and sugar on a pancake?  Well, I thought that was just right!  I think you will love this pancake recipe!  Let me know if you try it!

Sacred Ground Sticky Floors Buttermilk Pancakes

Yield 10-16 pancakes

This is the good stuff!  Saturday morning, bacon cooking, cartoons blaring, and buttermilk pancakes sizzling on the griddle!  It is more than pancakes, it is memories!

Ingredients

16 ounces buttermilk

2 eggs

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

blend all ingredients until smooth.  Pour ladle of  batter onto hot, greased, skillet, (about 325 degrees) when bubbles form in the batter, flip the pancake and cook about 1 to 2 minutes or until desired golden brown. Serve with a pat of butter and warm maple syrup.  We love fresh fruit on ours!

Notes

The number of pancakes depends on the size you make.
