31 MUST Have Favorite Bedtime Children’s Books!

Oh but story time… I really do love it.  Maybe that is the only reason behind my need to continue to invite people to live with me?  I love children’s books.  And I do love to read to my little people.  Among my other favorites is to gift these to new mommas… cause, you gotta start somewhere!

It was a hard list to narrow, but here it is… My top 25 most beloved children’s books with links to each! (click on the image)

First let me say, this is not all that well known, but it is my life’s mission to make it so.  The Pig in the Pond… oh my stars.  OUR FAMILY’s FAVORITE!!!!!

All things Kevin Hankes.  Cause… he is my spirit animal. And these are my top four but seriously, anything the man thinks into existence is perfection.

Of course, we cannot forget the all-important Dr. Suess which any will do… but hey, we all have favorites!

Certainly, every bookshelf in your home should have a collection of Shel Silverstone. I have to brag here when I was pregnant with Maggie, Justin bought these and a rocking chair for me for Christmas… be still my heart.  But the main reason you need these is, there’s too many kids in this tub, there’s too many elbows to scrub… I just washed a behind, that I am sure wasn’t mine…  If you don’t know the rest, you must simply have these:

Next, I just love these for the love of loving story time.

And you can bet I will be adding more!  So PIN THIS!!!!  And let me know your favorites in the comments!

May your floors be sticky and your calling ordained!  Love, Jami

  1. […] This form of planning allows the child to decide on an evening when we are coming off a day of rest.  We allow some time to clean the room for the week ahead and then we choose ONE book for each night of the week.  This cuts back tremendously on arguments right before bedtime when everyone is spent. For my top picks every household needs on their shelves, visit this post. […]
