Babies, Zits, and Stolen Cars

Mondays, Babies, Zits, and Stolen Cars

Today is a Monday if there ever was a Monday. Up to my neck in babies, zits and stolen cars. God, help me believe.  Help me believe, help my unbelief.

I have to go to the bank to redeposit a deposit that wasn’t properly deposited the first time I deposited it.

The foster-love has an extended visit… her time with us is drawing to a close.

My battery in my car is dead.

I have a cold.

And I am up three pounds.

There is a zit on my nose.

OH!  Also, the college-baby’s car was stolen and totaled this weekend.  SO… I get to spend the afternoon at the Police Station, then the insurance office, and the impound, where the Nissan is being held for questioning.

Much to do. So much to fret… much. Help me believe.

I miss my man-baby, who is at Marine Bootcamp.  I am flying to California for 6 days for the Mount Hermon Writer’s conference.  And I am feeling every bit of every feeling associated with travel prep, angst, and dread.

Still… He is for me.

God is with me, I believe.

He is all about everything and that means… It is well.

I can wander about this Monday, drudging through the muck and mire and misery, and focus on those things that make a mockery of peaceable living.

Or, I can wander about this Monday, skipping through the tulips and irises that seem to be exploding everywhere.  I can offer up my prayers of want, need, and mysticism – believing… He hears.   And, He knows.  He cares.

Adoring King.

Prince of Peace… so loving, so very kind… the is the TRUTH I missed for so long.

Today if you hear a voice and it is one of hateful condemnation… that is not HIM.

His voice is so kind.

So gentle.

So… wise.

Breath of Heaven, I crave this New LOVE.

This isn’t deep… this isn’t the blog post of the millennium.

It’s just a message for you and me… He is for you.

[Tweet “It’s just a message for you and me… He is for you.”]

He is for your restoration.

Yes, He is for your wellness.

And He is IN LOVE WITH YOU… unto His death.

Off to the Police Station… just wanted to remind me and you… It is well.

Happy Monday.

May your floors be sticky and your calling ordained.  Love, Jami

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV) “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”

I am home from “Zion” (tongue in cheek) and I feel as though I walked all the way, but I know He is with me because indeed– my floors are sticky. It is good you have a blog or I would never know my grandson’s car was in lock-up. I say, better the. car than the kid!

Well good gracious, and I thought I was having a day! Oh Jami, you always find a way to make it funny- oh so funny. But most of all, every time I read your assuring words of His unfailing love- He whispers to me “Don’t you know this by now? You do. You just needed a reminder, so I picked Jami for ya.”

    XOXO

Will be praying you through it all.
